RFQ for Supply, Delivery, and Installation of manufacturing technology classroom equipment for 27 school boards in Ontario. This Request for Quotation issued by the CTMA is for the purchasing of capital equipment for the Phase 6 “Career-Ready with CTMA: Expanding Opportunities'' program (“the project”). The Career-Ready program is brought to you by the CTMA in partnership with the Ontario Council for Technology Education (OCTE). This Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. It is designed to help close the skilled trades gap that exists in the Precision Metalworking sector; a sector that serves many industries including, but not limited to, automotive, aerospace, packaging, medical, energy military defense and others. This portion of the project includes a partnership between the CTMA, the Ontario Council for Technology Education (OCTE), and twenty-four (24) School Boards to address the skilled-trade labour shortage that exists in the precision metalworking sector. It will enable the purchase of capital equipment to upgrade high school manufacturing facilities to help prepare students for industry standards.
